More Americans and Canadians will be buying property in Mexico for second or retirement homes in the next ten years if response at two recent public seminars is any indication of future trends.

“We had nearly 130 attendees at our seminars in Seattle and Portland on Oct. 22 and Oct 24, and many attendees showed serious interest in the idea of living full or part time south of the border,” said Patti Kilpatrick, managing partner of Choosing Mexico, LLC and a Mexico tourism veteran.

A new educational company formed to provide objective information about all aspects of living in Mexico, Choosing Mexico organized the seminars as a prelude to a planned series of self-paced, online courses beginning in January 2008. In addition to the course content, the online orientation will include a digital library for further research, expert opinions on subjects of interest to those considering living in Mexico, diverse locations, and residence options.
